From CAPETOWN to LAGOS, we strut the runways to see Africa’s most expressive menswear showcase.

Starting off from the beautiful city of Cape town, we noticed that the continental scenery of men’s fashion keeps getting more colourful and graceful as more and more menswear designers have become alot more expressive with colours and patterns .
What ruled the SOUTH AFRICA MENSWEAR WEEK  2018 Runway was the vibrant colours, patterns and an encroachment into western street-style trends that all showcasing designers adopted in their different shows and presentations.
The likes of Alc Man, Tokyo James and Kim Gush Apparel had show stopping runway moments that got the tabloids talking sense!
At the LAGOS FASHION WEEK AW18 Presentation, a lot more africanism was observed as most menswear presentations had either an african themed collection or they played  with fabrics of african origin, whichever way they went; colours popped into our eyes!
Designers like EMMY KASBIT didn’t only turn the runway lights on, He also had guest-faithfuls who were twinning with the models too.
Arise Fashion Week came back bigger and biggest!
It indeed was the continent’s most beautiful runway and our men had their own responsibilities in making it so.
Designers like Ugo Mozie, Laurence Airline and of course OZWALD BOATENG added great bold colours to the already red runway.
The presence of International photographer: Trevor Stuurman, GQ Style’s Fashion Director: Mobolajo Dawodu , Tinnie Tempa and a host of others did make a gender balance with Naomi Campbell and Oluchi’s appearances.
Whiles we cannot wait for the different fashion weeks to swallow up our entire selves, we are in deep anticipation of what street style trends will emerge, what designs will create the sensation needed to convey us into 2019 and whose runway will be the ‘biggest’ eventually *wink*
