The Denim vs The Jeans

Most often, the word denim is used interchangeably with Jeans but surprisingly they are completely different.

Jeans introduced by Levi Strauss in the late 19th century is a type of pant/trouser, an ensemble with a universal appeal. Can be dressed-up or down depending on occasion.

Denim on the other hand is the fashion fabric that is used to make a pair of jeans. This fabric can also be used to make jackets, shirts, shoes and bags.

Jeans are an essential part of the modern man’s wardrobe because of its versatility. Darker/cleaner shades have a dressier appeal compared to the lighter/ripped ones.

Dress up that pair of Jeans with a nice blazer, tees or Oxford shirt and dress down with a polo shirt for a more casual feel.

Whatever the colour or cut is, finding a good pair that flatters your body type is important. Levi’s have a great selection of denim wears and are a good place to start.

Take care of denim wears by washing inside-out after a long period of usage to preserve the colouring and structure of the fabric.

REMEMBER all jeans are denim pants but not all denims are jeans. With this in mind, the next time you walk into a clothing store, your fashion savvy self knows what to look out for.
